I am not a pro photographer and I am upgrading from a D80. I take mostly pictures of kids' sports and activities (concerts, performances). Thus, the ability to handle low light situation is very important to me. The D600 is a vast improvement over the D80 in every respect. The D600 at ISO 6400 out performs the D80 at ISO 800. The D600 produces photos with brilliant color and its focusing is fast. I travel a lot and the D600 is perfect because it is not too big nor too heavy. If you're looking to upgrade to a full frame camera, I highly recommend the D600. I even like the D600 charger. There is a small adapter you can use to plug the charger into the wall without bulky wire.

Wonderful FX camera - have been waiting for the "right" fit in full frame, and the D600 is it. Perfect for the advanced amateur with "attitude" :-)
