Just upgraded from DX DSLR. To my surprise, the D600 with its kit lens is not too much heavier than my DX camera. In fact, it fits very well into my existing camera bags. Used it in a trip to the west coast and the camera is very versatile. All controls (buttons and dails) are located handily and hence easy to operate without even looking into the user manual. People said it has dust / oil issues with the sensor but I haven't come across that after 1500 shots. Will do more test using white papers when it comes to 3000 shots threshold.

Wasn't expecting this to be as much improvement from the D300 as it ended up being. Dragged my feet quite a while and ended up having no regrets whatsoever. Kit lens is surprisingly nice. Bundle together is lightweight and a joy to shoot with.
