C# PROGRAMMER

We are looking for a sharp, competent individual with a strong OOD/OOP foundation to help develop business software for Samy’s Camera, Inc. – a dynamic & expanding company in the photographic industry. The company was founded 1976 and has grown to over 300 employees and five stores in Southern California. This is a full-time position in the main office located in Playa Del Rey, Los Angeles.

Job Duties

You will work in a small IT department and the responsibilities include design & development of new applications, improvement of existing applications, refactoring, etc. The development will mainly be in C#, n-tiered, with Windows Forms and ASP.NET in the Presentation Layer. You will interact with users and should have strong communication and organizational skills.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional programming experience
• 2+ years of C# programming. VB experience a plus.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Solid OOP design & development skills
• UML knowledge
• Strong communication skills and good at interacting with end-users.
• Able to work well independently as well as in a team.

Samy's Camera is seeking a full time experienced warehouse person for their busy Playa Del Rey warehouse. Ideal candidates must have prior experience in a warehouse environment i.e. loading, unloading, general warehouse maintenance.

Job Duties

Ship and receive product, Update and verify accuracy of data input into the computer inventory program on a daily basis. Ensure merchandise is properly stocked on shelves and well organized. Complete and maintain appropriate forms, records and reports including material order forms, shipping and receiving documents, inventory tracking reports, etc.

Requirements

• Must have 2 years warehouse experience
• Knowledge of UPS, DHL and Federal Express a plus
• Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
• Demonstrated organizational skills, with ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
• Ability to operate a fork lift a plus but not necessary
