Web Pricing - Why are the prices on this web site different from those in your stores?
Our stores are staffed with a wide variety of product specialists and support staff, each of whom make an effort to be responsive and pleasant to deal with. We're also able to provide a customer with any item from our inventory to inspect and test. The cost of this customer service is an increased overhead for our in-store prices, to pay for the store space, the training of our employees, and other considerations not present online. We're happy to offer reduced prices online and hope that you will be satisfied with your purchase no matter where you decide to buy.
The most popular Bowens Gemini 750Pro 2 Light Kit configurations is the two-head kits. These appeal to photographers buying studio lighting for the first time as well as photographers looking for exceptional value for money. Typical two head kits include two Gemini monolights with two Bowens lighting support stands. To control the light we include a Softbox and a silver/white umbrella, together with a wide-angle umbrella reflectors.
In our experience, this creates a very easy-to-use and effective two-light setup. The umbrellas are perfect for portraiture and many still-life applications - the black cover can be removed allowing you to fire the light through the umbrella like a softbox. The kits include a sync lead for camera connection and all the power cables, modelling lamps and flash tubes. Everything is then packed into a Rolling Kit Case for easy transportation.
The Bowens Gemini 750 Pro Monolight offers portable, dependable lighting power that you can use anywhere in the world. This 750W self-contained unit can achieve flash durations as short as 1/2300 of a second, and it's designed to seek the correct voltage to run on, no matter what electrical system it's connected to, so you can use it anywhere there's electricity. Or use it where there's no electricity, with the optional Bowens Travelpak battery. It's also designed to accept the optional Pulsar/PocketWizard Trigger card for remote control of the flash. The flash tube is easily user replaceable, which means no service center fees. With a fast recycle time of 1.5 seconds to full power and flash variability from 23Ws to 750Ws, the Gemini 750 Pro is a great power source for any photographer.
The Bowens Pulsar Tx Radio Transmitter is a 24-channel remote triggering device designed for use with Bowens or other monolights or strobe power packs. Radio slaves are more dependable than infrared, or optical slaves. The Pulsar Tx operates on the 433Mhz radio frequency which is immune to interference and failure. The feather-weight (2.0 oz) has a compact camera-hugging low profile and an improved "click-lock" shoe that eliminates the need for a knurled thumb screw. The Tx has a range of 80' and runs on a single CR2032 battery.
The Bowens Pulsar Radio Trigger Card Set represents another step forward for remote control triggering of flash units--instead of the usual radio receiver temporarily attached to the outside of your monolight, this card plugs into a slot designed for it on the Gemini R or Gemini Pro monolight, creating a more secure connection. Fit the included antenna into the socket provided on the monolight, and you've got remote control (up to 300' away) using the Pulsar radio trigger system.
Umbrellas soften, broaden, and diminish the light output of any tungsten or flash light source. Umbrellas with a white interior will soften and weaken light more than an umbrella with a silver lining. A white umbrella without a black backing may also be used as a makeshift softbox, although the use of the light will not be as efficient as with a lightbox.
The Bowens 6.0 In. Wide-Angle Umbrella Reflector, 120 Degrees provides a very wide light spread from the light source. This reflector is ideal for use with an umbrella mounted to the flash head. When the reflector is used by itself, the light output has hard shadows and high contrast.
The Bowens Softbox ‘s front diffuser measures 23.5 x 31 In. (60 x 80cm). The Bowens range of soft boxes has been developed to offer photographers the very highest-quality light source at a very modest cost. Their silver interior and shallow construction offer a high degree of efficiency while a translucent diffuser ensures even light distribution.
Bowens Compact Light Stands represent exceptional value for money. Constructed from black anodized aluminum for a sturdy, attractive and non-reflective appearance, Bowens stands feature high-quality aluminum locking clasps, rather than plastic used by some other brands. This Bowens PC to 1/4" Phone Sync Cord is a 13 ft. (4 m) long sync cord that can be used to connect from your camera to your Bowens monolight. The 250W screw-in modeling lamp specifically designed to fit the Bowens series monolight.
