Gaylord M. from BAKERSFIELD, CA:
I was plesantly surprised with the speed of delivery and ease of setup of my new Epson Stylus Pro 3880 from Samy's. About 4 days with one holiday in the middle too. During the wait, I had constructed a strong shelf to sit over the top of the Canon 9000 Mark II that it will supplement for the 17 inch wide prints.
So far so good, although I have printed a lot and used up half the ink already in one month. I use a ColorMunki Photo to set up the monitor and the the printer both so the first prints were very, very nice. No doubt they beat any pro lab too. Might be a little slower in speed over the Canon 9000 II though, but the Epson's paper alignemnt is better too.
Just need to make sure you remove the 4 dozen blue strips of tape holding it together for shipping and moving. They are everywhere including inside the tray areas. Look twice with a flashlight!
I might mention that I did need to sign for the delivery. No big deal as FedEx did call in the AM saying the much the same. Plus, I could see that the delivery guy didn't kick it off the truck too. It's quite heavy at maybe 75 pounds in the shipping box along with some paper I ordered too.
