"In developing this new DSLR camera,” said Yuichi Ishizuka, president and COO, Canon U.S.A., Inc., “we listened to the requests of current EOS users to create for them a modern, versatile camera designed to help them create and share beautiful still and video imagery." 30.4MP full-frame CMOS sensor

Another feature that brings the series into the 21st century, the Mark IV’s easy-to-navigate 1.62 million dot, low-reflection 3.2-inch Clear View LCD II monitor allows the camera to become an extension of the user, facilitating fast, intuitive operation.

4K Video

Aiming to be a one-stop-shop product, the Mark IV easily transitions from taking still photographs to shooting videos in a near instant, capturing Digital Cinema (DCI) standard 4K (Motion JPEG) videos of 4096 x 2160 pixels at up to 30 or 24 fps. The camera also supports the 4K broadcasting standard of 3840 x 2160 pixels with slight trimming on the left and right sides.
