Fujifilm have announced firmware update for the Fujifilm X-Pro 1 as well as updates for more of their cameras.
The new firmware updates are now available on the Fujifilm USA website. Below are the links, special instructions and technical specs.

X-Pro1
1) Adding compatibility with “XF14mm F2.8R”

X-E1
1) Adding compatibility with “XF14mm F2.8R”
2) Improvement in performance: Accuracy of Auto Focus performance has been improved under a various shooting conditions.
3) Other improvements to menus and other quirks.
4) New function: Shutter release button can work in case that an external microphone or a remote release is connected to USB mini terminal or MIC/REMOTE terminal (diameter 2.5mm) of the camera.
5) Audio performance has been optimized for Stereo Microphone MIC-ST1 (sold separately).
XF35mm
(1) Accuracy of Auto Focus performance has been improved.
Updating steps for X-Pro1 and X-E1
Steps of updating are as follows:
1) Copy the file of the updated firmware to the root directory of your SD card.
(Copy the file directly to the SD card.)
2) Put the SD card into the camera without any XF Lens attached.
3) Turn on the camera while pressing DISP/BACK button.
Use fully charged batteries.
4) Follow the direction in the LCD screen.
5) When the update is completed, turn off the camera.
6) Turn on the camera while pressing DISP/BACK button to check the firmware version.
Updating steps for XF35mm Lens
You need to first update the firmware of a camera to the latest version (X-Pro1 : ver.2.03,
X-E1 : ver.1.04) BEFORE you update the firmware of XF lenses.
Steps of updating are as follows:
1) Copy the file of the updated firmware to the root directory of your SD card.
(Copy the file directly to the SD card.)
2) Set an XF Lens to a camera.
3) Put the SD card into the camera.
4) Turn on the camera while pressing DISP/BACK button.
Use fully charged batteries.
5) Follow the direction in the LCD screen.
6) When the update is completed, turn off the camera.
7) Turn on the camera while pressing DISP/BACK button to check the firmware version.
