Hasselblad have announced the introduction of the Hasselblad X1D to their lineup. Billed as the world's first compact mirrorless medium format digital camera, the X1D is set to be a game changer.
Lightweight and portable, the Hasselblad X1D crams a powerful level of imaging performance into a user-friendly camera. Fitting easily into the palm of a hand, the company hopes that this will be the camera that brings the medium format camera to the photography enthusiast market.
The new Hasselblad X1D compact mirrorless medium format camera features a 50MP (8,272 X 6,200 pixels) CMOS sensor that has the ability to produce images with 14 stop of dynamic range and an 100 to 25600 ISO range. Bringing the capture of fine details and true natural colors within reach of every photographer.
Handmade in Sweden, the X1D reflects Hasselblad's iconic design heritage while keeping the modern compact camera user in mind. The touchscreen LCD interface allows users to have the power of control at their fingertips. Combined with other features which include dual SD card slots, Wi-Fi, built-in GPS, USB 3.0 Type-C connector and Mini HDMI port, the Hasselblad X1D is perfect for the photographer on the go. Particularly with so much imaging power at a weight that will barely make a dent in your baggage weight allowance.
Along with the X1D, Hasselblad have introduced a new family of dedicated autofocus lenses. Developed to support optical quality and portability, the lenses offer a wide range of shutter speeds and full flash synchronization up to 1/2000th second.
